I am considering UOC for their NP program. Has anyone attended there. Have you/were you happy with their program. I would be attending online.

Any other NP schools that you think are good online programs?

If I'm understanding things correctly one must have their NP degree before the end of 2014 or will then require a PhD degree for NP?

Thanks!

Congratulations!!!! I am very happy for you :) I received my letter this past week that I was denied into the FNP program. Oh well, everything happens for a reason. Good luck in your education and I wish you the best.

Specializes in PSYCH NP, ER, ICU, PACU, NAVY NURSE.

I'm sorry Lexington. I'm sure you will keep applying. One denial is just that. I have faith in you. Thanks hun, and let me know if/when/where u reapply and the status. Thanks again!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to see the time frame of which other students received their denial and or admission letter..I submitted my app for FNP one week ago today and it seems like everyday I am continuously looking for something!! I am so excited yet so nervous at the same time. Also, has any one been denied for the online program? If so, do you know why? Can't wait to hear from everyone!! :heartbeat

Update: I was just accepted to the UC Psych NP program that starts in Jan. 2012! I applied for the autumn session of 2011 but it was full. I am more than happy w/this though. Can't wait to start!!!!

I know this is an old post....but I went to their website and there is no mention of a Psych NP program? Did they stop offering it?

Specializes in CVICU, Transplant ICU, CCRN.

This is so helpful!! I got accepted to the 2016 fall Agnp program, started to worry about finding the preceptor, can't believe this thing existed!!! Thank you so much for sharing!

Hey everyone! I just applied to U of C yesterday for Spring 2017, I am so excited and nervous! For anyone who has applied...how long did it take to get an acceptance/denial letter?

Specializes in ED, Trauma junkie, a little bit of ICU.

I just got my acceptance for their FNP stream this fall!! So excited!! I submitted my app on May 1st (the original deadline before it was extended to May 15) so it really didn't take long to hear!!

Congratulations!!! You did get a fast response. After you did your application on Nursing CAS, did you get an email to apply to the University separately? I applied Saturday and I have not gotten any additional emails. I tried to call the school but I had to leave a voicemail.

If you just submitted everything to nursingCAS expect in to take at least a few weeks for them to verify it all (however I have heard of people waiting several months too. It took them 4 weeks to process mine). Once they are done on their end they send you an email (or you can look online and monitor the progress) and then you contact your Enrollment Advisor who in turn sends you a link to complete the U of C application. That one literally took 5 min to do and you pay your $65 U of C application fee at the same time.

I applied to a school last year, so all my transcripts were verified already thank goodness. Luckily with , it got verified within a week! You are right, it does take forever to get everything with NursingCAS completed. I left a voicemail with University of Cincinnati yesterday because I still have not received an email and do not have an enrollment advisor. I hate to bug them, but I do not want to miss something and become ineligible or miss a deadline.
