Problems with Piedmont?

U.S.A. South Carolina

Published

Hi all! I am living in Charlotte, NC and wondering if anyone has heard anything or works at Piedmont Medical in Rock Hill, SC.. I have heard mixed things about them-that they had problems in the past but haven't heard much recently.. I am a (soon to be) new grad considering going there and was wondering if anyone has any advice about working there or any first hand experience being there..

Thank you for your time..

They are a Tenet facility, right? There are some older threads here about Tenet hospitals that you could search and review.

Thanks for directing me elkspark.. I wasn't sure on the significance of a Tenet Facility as opposed to another so I didn't even think of that.. I know directly that Piedmont in particular is very understaffed so was wondering if anyone who worked there thought that this was really a significant problem..

If a facility is severely understaffed, then there are problems. Simple as that. And that goes for any facility anywhere in the world.

My husband has been transferred a number of times, requiring me to change jobs with every move. Resigning from Piedmont was the only time I've ever left a job without being forced to do so by a transfer. I left work every night in fear of losing my license. That was a number of years ago, but in talking to others with current knowledge of the facility, I don't think things have improved.

I would definitely recommend that you seek employment elsewhere.

Well, thanks all! I was researching my employment options when I came upon this thread. Yikes!
