Questions regarding field trips
Are you notified of field trips?
Who notifies you of said field trip?
Are you expected to check the school calendar and figure it out yourself?

School secretary keeps track of the field trips. She forwards me the info as she gets it. On the day of field trips I give the teachers the first aid kits and any meds that need to go. I only attend the field trip with diabetic students when parents are not able to go.

I do check the calendar but the teacher inform me as well, so I can prepare them a first aid kit and other medications needed. I just ask the teacher to sign off the medication and bring back the stuff at the end of the day.

Our school goes on 100's of them throughout the school year. They are one of the biggest pain in my butt!! I too have kids lining up in front of my office trying to get cleared before the bus leaves.
Today, a teacher left without grabbing 3 epi-pend and a inhaler. SMH!!! I called and called him and ignored me...I just do get it. I've reported it to admin and they either don't care or listen.

A gentle reminder in writing directly to this teacher that they are aware of these students medical need and medication availability might help...don't forget to include that if the child has a medical emergency while in their care that they are responsible for any negative outcome if they choose to disregard their meds.

Do your teachers receive a list of conditions for their students? My school is small and intimate enough that the school's allergies and emergent conditions are sent to every teacher. This is a need to know status because the teachers are the ones in contact the most. Should the teacher decide to ignore conditions they are aware of, it is on them.
