Specialties School

Please help. :o

Just dropped it this summer since the course was going so fast and I couldn't understand what the professor is saying.

Will be taking it this Fall as a pre-requisite for Nursing School.

Need study tips. How do you learn the material?

Thanks!

Sometimes a different instructor can make all the difference. An inexperienced instructor taught one of my chemistry classes reading from the textbook. I talked with the veteran instructor and made arrangements to attend his classes. What a difference!

STUDY ~ STUDY ~ STUDY!!!

I'm taking my final next week, it was a very difficult class. If you study a little bit everyday, you should do ok.

This is so true !!!!!!! I am currently taking a math class that I took before (algebra) and the other professor i had was wonderful. He was a professor that taught in several universities, now the one that I have now is confusing me with things I ALREADY KNOW!!!!!! So I will have to put it upon myself to do extra work at home, at work anywhere I can possibly think of. This professors' teaching techniques are horrible, as he teaches I open the textbook and I literally read what he is saying .....word for word. so basically he is reading to us. I hope it gets better or I will have to get a tutor:uhoh3:

gen chem was a lot like my first semester of biology. There is no way the professor can teach you all of the concepts of chemistry - there just isn't time. So, what I did for chemistry was: read ahead so when the Prof lectures on it you already have some exposure to the topic, read soon after the lecture, annotate the chapters (i did this for biology - hated doing it but got an "A"), and then practice practice practice.

Good Luck!
