Help, I need your advise

  1. I was considering putting together a website where parents of sick kids (or really kids in general) could hire a local, retired nurse as a babysitter so they can take a night off and feel secure that their kids are in the care of someone truly qualified to take care of them.

Retired nurses would create a profile with their area of expertise and experience and parents can choose who they would like to hire. Retired nurses get paid and get to take care of some youngsters on their own schedule. There's more to it, but those are the basics. Retired nurses, is this something you would consider doing?

Thanks so much in advance for your comments and questions.

The point of retirement is usually to stop working. And babysitting is much lower paying job than just about any nursing job. I don't see this working out.

Plus, there would be significant liability involved in advertising yourself as a nurse, even retired.

If I had the physical and mental energy to take care of a bunch of little kids, I'd never have left nursing.

I heard of some nurses who did that. They cared for sick k kids, like bad cold and cant go to school . However I don't think this would generate much income. Plus the liability issue.
