RN to BSN programs that enroll you upon application?!

I APPLIED to a local university's RN -BSN program along with a few others. Told the admissions director that I was still considering other schools at the time I applied. Anyways, come to find out that this "Director of Adult Education" enrolled me without my knowledge or consent! Sooo, I sent an email to him expressing my desire to be disenrolled from their Uni's program. He said "why??" Me: 'Because, as I told you before, I was looking into other programs, and have decided to go with another option.' Soooo, could you please reverse the enrollment that you made in error? Thanks, bye.' He says "Ohh, haha. I don't even know if I enrolled you into our system yet." Long story short- He did, he knew it, and it's been two weeks now and I haven't gotten anywhere. I call the college records office and they claim I am still fully enrolled!! I say, no, I didn't sign for that etc, etc, and they keep sending me back to the guy who is supposed to handle it, yet does nothing. Noone at that university will allow me to speak with anyone else on the matter. What would you do?! I've never run into this sort of thing with a university before! There were only going to be 7 other students in the cohort, and I'm no longer interested in this particular school for that and other reasons! Please help!

If the school's staff members are continuing to give you the runaround, perhaps threaten to get the attorney general and the state's board of education involved. Perhaps this will scare them into cancelling your enrollment contract.
