Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time out and reading my concern!
I was curious to know if actually attending a Career Fair is actually worth it? I am a recent RN New Graduate and have not heard any success stories to anyone getting hired from career fairs.
Thanks!

I once read career fairs are the least likely place were you will get a job offer. I went to one while I was still a student nurse and sat there for 3 hours. I never got a chance to talk to anyone. So in my experience no, it's not worth it. But, as a new grad our options are limited. Try to make some connections before it and then you might have a better chance. Good luck.

I think you should go into it with modest expectations ... but go. While you might not get a job there, if employers that interest you are there ... you might make some useful connections and you might get some of your questions answered. That might give you an edge during the application/hiring process.

I got a great connection to a hospital...we still network monthly. Sooo worth it; never know what the future holds...

I think it can be helpful for the experienced clinician. I ended up with a position from one, and ended up going for a series of interviews a few years later. Maybe not so helpful for the new grad in a crowded market, but it can allow you to get some info about different facilities, get some FaceTime, practice talking about yourself to the recruiters. Maybe you'll make connection that may help somewhere down the road.
Better than just depending on online applications from the privacy of your home.
It's worth a shot.
Thank you all for your honest advice! I really appreciate it
