In my state, we can't get paid to care for immediate family or someone we live with.

How many hours of nursing care is he approved for? It can't be more than that. I don't know anyone who qualifies for 24 hr PDN care.

The only cases I've seen qualify for 24hr PDN were new trach/vent ready for d/c from acute or subacute but not fully ready parents then 24hr x 30d then 16hrs. The other case was a unique very fragile kiddo post op major ortho surgery 24 hrs x 4 weeks because of complex cardio-respiratory monitoring and wound care.
The other cases were CPS removals with emergent foster care 24h PDN until qualified medical foster care could be arranged

I work on many 24 hr cases but these parents usually work for the government(which has excellent insurance). Usually firefighters, police, etc
Some parents have mental illness like depression, and the insurance company allows 24 hr nursing.
