Guephna: Check "nursing specialties" in Wikipedia to get an idea about what's out here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nursing_specialties
You'll have experiences in medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric, public health, and psych nursing clinical rotations as a student, to give you basic exposure to nursing. Then you'll probably work as a nurse at bedside for a few years to get your feet under you. After that, the choices open up as your interest and education expand ...the sky's the limit.
Hope to see you around!
