Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

My likes are that I love that I am going to be a Nursing student.

My dislikes that the bio classes are hard but I know it's worth it. I wish I could be considered a Nursing Student already! :p

Specializes in ICU.

The one thing I hated about Pre-nursing was the waiting. As it turned out, it was a blessing in disguise. I only have my nursing classes to think about in the fall (7 classes).

The waiting, no matter the class is the hardest part! Still got a year and a half to trudge through.

I wish I could speed things along via summer school courses, but working full time doesn't allow daytime school and they have no evening options. But they do have online Psych for summer so I'm in on that. My first online course ever! It'll be quick AND it'll count. Huzzah!

But yes, the waiting and counting days, when I SHOULD just be enjoying the ride to my potential future. It's hard when one is so ready to do something different with life and it's not instant! I simply want it NOW, is that too hard to ask

;)

For me, I read so much about impacted programs, and hospitals that are not hiring, that I have a real fear about either not getting into a program, or getting into a program and then not getting hired. While my inner voice keeps pushing me, I have moments of doubt, because of my fears. Also, the sheer level of competitiveness to make A's can be extremely stressful. There really is no, I'll just do average, because that won't cut it!

I love school so much, however! I am a returning student and I was full of fear, but I've met some incredible student's/friend's. I enjoy all of my classes and think learning new things is pretty awesome. Taking anatomy truly sealed the deal for me and confirmed my desire to be a nurse!
