TEAS versions - I'm confused

Is there a difference between the TEAS version 3.0/4.0 and V? I'm kind of confused about this - went to sign up for the exam online, but it doesn't specific which version. Can anyone clarify this for me? I have a phone interview with an advisor this week so I plan on asking them which version I need/have to take. Does the requirment depend on the school?

Don't worry. I sent away for the 4.0 test study guide and got the 3.0 version. They are the same. Maybe one is just newer?

There may not be a difference but you do want to ask which version in case there is one. I guess some schools have updated to version V while others still use one of the older versions. You can probably email ati to ask what the difference is between the version once you know which version your school is requiring. They will be able to give you the most accurate information.

To further clarify, my school said we would be taking version 4.0, but ATI only sells a study guide that is 3.0/4.0 lumped together. When I received the study guide it was a 3.0 guide. That led me to thinking they were either very similar or identical.

I spoke with an advisor at the school I'm planning on applying to next year and she didn't know which version to purchase, she actually said to contact the testing center and ask.

I called ATI and she said The book shows as 3.0 edition but it is the same as version 4.0. There is no new book for version 4 because version 4 is the same as version 3 but for small changes in mechanical structures.

So if your school testing version 4.0, she said the 4.0 edition book from ATI is fine and that is the one to study from.

ON ANOTHER NOTE: MATH STATISTICS -- has anyone done the practice tests free online from testpractice.com? the math is all stats and very hard. Does anyone know if math questions like those will be on the test for version 3/4?

Thanks.

^ no the math is exactly like what is in the book. The book actually has some algebra problems that you won't even see in the teas. its really basic stuff

I am going to apply to another school and they require students to take the V version - so I guess that it the one I will be taking...
