How many of you out there are taking A&P this summer? Lets work together to "ace" the course.

So you have lecture for 4.5 hours on MW and lab for 4.5 hours on TTh. That's crazy. And it's only for 4 credits? Thank goodness I'm not at your school!

Lovelymo79,

Keep in mind this is an accelerated course in the Summer - hence the name of the thread :D Most A&P classes are only 4 credits.

All summer A&P courses are accelerated and are short in time span (4-6 weeks usually) and longer throughout the week (meets 4 days a week for atleast 4-5 hours)

My A&P1 class is from June1-July2 and I'll be in class M,T,W,Th from 6:00-9:45p.:banghead:

Um..I know that. I'm in an accelerated summer course as well. A&P II just started last night..hence why I'm responding.

As stated..my class is 7 weeks..4 days a week..but only 3/3.5 hours day..like most people in this thread. That's why she was stating her class were unusually longer than everyone else's.

When I take Chem 2nd summer session..I will be in class MW from 5:30 - 7:20 for lecture and then 7:30 - 10:30 for lab. On Tuesday/Thursday..I will only have lecture from 5:30 - 7:30..thank goodness!:lol2:

That's why I asked if it was more credits than the "normal" accelerated class..since it's much longer than everyone else.

Specializes in Caregiver to father with ALS.

Hello!

I'm taking A&P 1 this summer too. My class begins June 8th. I can't wait to buy my books and get started! I'm just waiting for the used books to show up at my college book store. I'm a little nervous about how well I am going to do with three little ones at home. Luckily, I have a crew of babysitters... I have 4 teenage nieces. Still, I can't make them babysit for me day and night.... Best wishes to everyone!

Update: I am in my last week of the 6 week summer session, and I am doing well so far. I got mostly A's on my lecture and lab exams, with an exception of an 89 one one lecture exam. My teacher drops your lowest lecture exam grade, so I will try to get a 100 on my last lecture exam. I found that Netter's Anatomy Flachcards are really useful for studying the human anatomy, especially the muscles. I have one lab exam left too this week. I wish that everyone is doing good in their studies!

Tomorrow starts the last week of regular lecture and lab for me. Im taking A&P II and it is a 6 week session. I'm studying all day today and through the night. My testing schedule for this week is:

Monday - Lab test on Urinary & Reproductive

Tuesday - Lecture test on Respiratory and Digestion

Wednesday - Final Lab Practical on everything from Respiratory - Reproduction

Tuesday - 7/21 - Final lecture exam (Comprehensive + Urinary/Reproduction/Acid-Base)

Today I'll be studying for lecture until around 8pm. Since, as you see, I have a lab test tomorrow, I will start studying my models and getting everything down for the lab exam until about midnight. Wish me luck~!

It's going to be a pretty tight week but I think I'll pull out with an A.
