Shelton State vs Wallace Community College-Selam

I am a pre nursing student, but I intend to transfer schools. My current school only offers a BSN and now I'm seeing that I don't have the time to put in a BSN degree. I've looked into local schools in Montgomery AL. It would be local to me but I'm not impressed by the price for Virginia College...and I have yet to see Fortis's curriculum. Trenholm only offers a certificate for their LPN program. I have knocked out a lot of requirements for nursing school except a math class and speech. Right now I'm most interested in Shelton State (2hrs away from home) or Wallace CC in Selma (1hr from home).

I have yet to visit either school, but does anyone have pro and cons to either school. Or school I apply to as many nursing programs as possible?

Does Shelton and Wallace only accept nursing classes to start in the fall?

Hello, I currently attend Wallace in Selma. I'm a pre- nursing student looking to be admitted in fall 2015. here at Wallace the Teas Test score only has to be a 50 or above and that's for the RN and LPN program. I heard that they test you exactly like you are taking the NCLEX. From reading post from this site I personally think Wallace is more easier to get into than other schools. Hope this was helpful.

I have another question. I'm lacking a math and speech class. Is that part of the curriculum of nursing? I'm basically asking is it the only way I can take those classes...can I take those classes without being accepted into the nursing program. I am trying to get my gpa up a little more before I apply. Or do I have to apply (to the nursing school) to take those classes?...
