Pre-Nursing Credits?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello, I am a current Pre-Nursing student. Starting the fall semester I will be taking 19 sch.

English

Anatomy and physiology 2

History

Government

Humanities

Arts

Is there anyone else who has taken 19 hrs? Any Advice? Will the courses be hard?

Thanks in advance.

19 credits is ALOT to take in 1 semester, but looking from your list of courses, it looks like youre only taking 1 hard class (A&P), so I think you should be fine. Stay on top of all your work and dont fall behind. Good luck!

Thank you for your response. I will stay on top of all my course work and do my best.:)

Totally doable since you're only taking 1 science and no maths.

I took 17 credits fall and spring semester and I thought it was a lot of work. In one semester I think I wrote 11 essays in which 2 of those essays were Japanese. I also had quizzes/exams every week and some of these classes were gen eds. I took these classes at a university so of course the expectations was higher. If you're at a community college, I'd say don't stress too much, but don't underestimate it either and manage your time wisely. Good luck.

English requires writing papers, so it can be time consuming. History and govt requires a lot of reading so make time for that. Perhaps humanities and arts would be super easy. And anatomy / physiology will be hard.

Its a full load but if you dont have any kids, not active in sorority, no job, and your partner isnt clingy, you should be fine. Good luck

It depends a lot on you personally. I took 19 hours a couple semesters ago (A&P II, Govt, Nutrition, Patho, Stats and Humanities) just to push through and get done with my pre-reqs and I work full time. I finished the semester on the Chancellors list. It was hard, but doable and I was extremely motivated to get it all done so I could apply for programs. Your list looks okay, with (like a previous poster saying) the only really "hard" class being A&P II. Good luck with your studies!
