Polk state college - nursing applicants for SPRING 2018

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi, I'm looking to connect with past, present, and future PSC generic nursing program applicants. I'm applying for the generic nursing track in September for January(spring) admission, and would love to hear other people's experiences as far as their acceptance or denial, and their GPAs and TEAS scores at the time they applied. Also, if they completed additional recommended pre req coursework (A&P ii, micro, human development, etc), or if they only completed the pre req courses specifically stated to access the application at the time they applied. Thanks to all who join in on this discussion, and good luck to all future applicants !!

Hello my name is Chris. I am also applying for the spring 2018 generic nursing program. I have a 3.23 Pre-req GPA as of now and a 3.3 overall. I have completed all pre-reqs for the ASN and BSN programs. I am wrapping up my final semester at HCC before receiving my AA. I plan to take the TEAS in August and apply as soon as the applications open. Good luck and I hope we both get in! :)

So happy someone created this thread! I just took the TEAS last week and scored an 87.3% I am currently taking A&P now so I do not have that grade yet but my overall Gpa is 3.2 and program Gpa is 3.5 I also have an AA degree which I read is worth 2 extra points. Hopefully that is enough to get in! I have taken human development and will take A&P II during the fall semester. Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully we all see each other at orientation
