So I am done with all of my general ed and was on my last prereq and got a C. I had taken micro over the summer (which was a big mistake for me) and also go a C. With the schools where I want to apply, you need a 2.5 in your science prereqs overall and this puts me at a 2.44. So close! (overall my gpa is like a 3.5) Now I need to retake it to get a B or better.
Anyone had this problem in he Southern California area and can suggest a school that was easy to get classes at. It took me 3 years to get into ap 150 and 151 and I am upset with the thought of this mistake costing me another year. I'm trying to apply to Cerritos College and their application period is in March. I figure if I can take this class over this fall, I can still apply. If this has happened to anyone else... help!

Just know that just because it says a 2.5 is needed to apply that is just a minimum requirement. You usually need at the very least somewhere in the 3.0 to 3.5 to be considered and usually around a 3.7 to be considered competitive. My school has a min. overall GPA requirement, but in the classes they consider you pretty much need all A's and maybe a B. Just make sure when you retake you give it your all and do well.
