Any insights as to just how difficult this program is to get into?

I feel like I should be a pretty strong candidate, but I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.

I have a PhD in Biology and an undergraduate GPA of ~3.75. I am currently taking a few prereqs that I never took as an undergrad (e.g. A&P series).

I just started as a volunteer at the local hospital and hospice and also have a number of opportunities to shadow providers at a family practice clinic.

Any insights would be helpful!

Well, you would have to obtain your BSN first. Which would be an accelerated program thus the ABSN. Then you would apply to the FNP program. I would contact the school about getting your BSN.

Thanks Heathermaizey. I have talked to the school and have an understanding of admission requirements. I'm just wondering if anyone had any information on what the "typical" accepted student looks like. GPA, experience, etc. Also how many they accept vs. how many applicants they receive. Sorry…I wasn't very clear in my OP.

Thanks!
