Hi! I would love your opinion as to whether or not I should take "Principles of the Human Body" before I begin A&P 1 and 2. My school has no prereqs. for A&P 1 and 2, they only highly encourage you take "Principles of the Human Body". As far as my background is concerned, the only science class I have taken is Chemistry, no biology. I have already been accepted into a nursing program. So do I spend the money and take this class or save money and buy a book? TIA!

Quite honestly...I wouldn't. The class load is hard taking regular A&P classes, but it is highly doable. They probably strongly recommend the class b/c it means more money for the school....hehehe;) Maybe not...but I think it might be a waste of time!!! JMO!!!

Buy a book. Save your money.
If you are already accepted, why bother? Go to the library and get a intro A&P text and Bio text to brush up on the concepts. Look for a free or rental copy of the Standard Deviants A&P series or the Biology series.
(Unless you bio skills are very, very weak, that is all you should need.)

Save your money. You don't need to take an additional class. If you struggle in A&PI, there are some wonderful resources here to help you. Or maybe just pick "Anatomy & Physiology Made Incredibly Easy."
That is book is a wonderful resource!

I have to agree with everyone else. The only reason I would take the class is if I never took Biology in high school and I was applying to a Nursing Program. Since that is not the case for you, don't bother. Study A&P and you should be fine.
Thanks! That's what I thought, but wanted to hear from former A&P students!
