Nova Southeastern University Entry-level BSN Fall (August) 2015! (:

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.

I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here

If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.

If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.

Im in the exact same boat as you. I also just recently graduated from BC with an AA. I am waiting for my transcript to be received from BC. What if anything are you doing to prepare for the Kaplan entrance exam? From what I understand it is pretty simple with the exception of science. Good Luck with everything!

Hey, nj2flsunshine!

Congrats with finishing your AA at Broward! I heard there was a Kaplan Nursing Exam review book to prepare for Nova's Kaplan exam that is after the group interview. Honestly, I might just try to refresh my memory and study with the HESI book and the TEAS book. I don't want to bust out a lot of money so early in the game already haha. I assume it's similar to the HESI. I really hope we hear from them soon! Good luck to you as well

Yeah I have both of those books already so I guess I will study from them also. Let the waiting game begin!

Hi I'm also interested in fall 2015 for nova. Would you mind sharing the steps you took to completely finish the application process, thank you.

Hey cmocta! I am in the same boat as you, quick question what is the GPA that you applied with?

Hi everyone! I didn't notice the other replies my apologies. I'm going to reply right now:

@AMC92 - I went onto Nova's nursing website and there should be an "apply now" option. I followed regular steps for the application process (you have to fill in your personal info then other fields such as previous education). Then I went onto Broward.edu and had them send my transcripts during my current semester and one final transcript at the end of the semester. I took dual enrollment classes during high school with St.Thomas University so I had to go onto their site and request transcripts as well. Then from there Nova calls you and checks up on you making sure you're sending transcripts. When you have your VIP login, there's a checklist that you can keep track of to see if they're receiving your info! I hope this helped! (: Right now my checklist is all checked off, i'm just waiting for that phone call or email *crossing fingers*Definitely consider applying! They should be scheduling interviews in the spring (March/April/Etc)

@Destiny13 - Hi! To be honest, i never fully understood the different types of GPAs listed on MyBC. There's one called "trnsfr inst cum" so I assume that GPA was used. If so then I applied with a 3.50!

I got a call by them saying that ending of February and March they are going to start reviewing applications. So by April and May, interviews are going to start. Have any of you received a similar call or have any more information?

I just got a call from them today. I got invited to an interview, which I should be receiving an email by tomorrow. SO EXCITED!

Did anybody else get an interview scheduled?

Did you get your call?

Hello everyone. I am also applying to NOVA... just waiting for that call or email lol.

Are you guys applying to any other schools?

To the people that have gotten the interview: do you mind sharing your stats?

Good luck to everyone! :nailbiting:
