My A&P instructor emailed me and asked me if I wanted a job as his lab assistant for the upcoming semester in A&P II. I'd be setting up the organs and helping the class review. He said he felt my knowledge was " solid", plus he had seen how I reviewed with classmates last year and thought I'd be perfect for the job. I am so flattered! Plus, that would look awesome on a resume or scholarship application, and it would keep my knowledge up since I am not taking classes this semester( looong waiting list). I have to talk to my husband, but I think it will work out with our schedules so hopefully I can do it. How exciting!! :balloons:
Hey that is really cool! After this semester I am hoping to do the same thing. There is a lottery waiting list for nursing school here, so I know what you mean about keeping the info fresh.
Congrats!
That is so great. The same thing happened to me over the summer. The instructor approached me and said basically the same thing as yours. That is how I got my present job as a lab tech. in the bio. lab. I love it. I love biology and find that it is nice to keep all the info. fresh in my head. I find that I get a different perspective on the other students. You learn who really cares about what they study, and who is just doing what they can to skim by. I don't mind being around dead animals and organs all that much. I just remind myself that it is prep. for what is to come. I am so glad you had this oppurtunity. I is a good one. Also, I was able to make my own schedule pretty much. Since I have three children and go to school full-time it was a blessing. Good luck!!!

Thank you! I never thought of myself as a teaching-type, but apparently he liked the way I was reviewing with classmates last semester, quizzing them etc..your opportunity sounds amazing! Who knows, maybe I can keep it up while in school, since it is a night class :)
