Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello,

I am a pre-nursing student in North Carolina. Can any NC nurses describe how the job market is here in our state for new grad RNs? Thanks!

There are 2 big nursing residencies in the Triangle at Duke and UNC. Duke alone hired 800 new graduate this past cycle, if that's any indication of the market for new grads. Outside of the Durham area, I'm unsure.

Wow...thanks for the response! I live slightly west of the Triad. Wake Forest Baptist is about 40 minutes east of me and the large hospitals in Charlotte are an hour south of me. I'm not that concerned, but I want to make sure there will be a job available after nursing school.
