Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Did anyone get there call for orientation for the March Semester? I did! Does anyone know anything about orientation? They didn't even tell me how long it is. I am # 35 out of 30 and some of those top 30 people didn't get there financial aid so I was asked to show up to orientation. So I'm not 100% sure I got in yet:( I will find out tomorrow after orientation. I'm working tonight at the hospital so I'm going to be half a sleep at orientation. I'm excited and praying I get in! I'm sooooo close.

So far so good.

Okay awesome! I took my HESI on Thursday last week and my average was 87 so I'm hoping I'll get in!:) I'll start June 16th if I do!

You're super awesome mommymeatball09. I'm glad you made it in. I'm just waiting on a phone call now which probably isn't gonna happen until July maybe idk.

Just an interesting read about another itt tech nursing program.

When I first decided to go back to school (after an almost 20 year break), I was this/close to getting rooked in with the allure of no pre-reqs, no waiting lists. I was given a high-pressure sales pitch. I did my research and found none of the credits were transferable for graduate school and they cost 3 times more than the state universities.

Run, run, run away! If it's too good to be true, it is!!! I've read several articles about nursing students who had their bachelor degrees withheld by the school, only to be told they have to pay "module fees" to take a test to get the degree. They can't pass the test because of the poor education and have to repeatedly pay the fees.

It's sad they take advantage of people who want to be nurses.

Caveat emptor!

ITT is not accredited here in Indiana and those who go there will not be hired by local hospitals. Please run away from schools like this.

Thank you for all the info! I too did my research and decided to go with a different school. I got into a tech school and will be going to get my lpn license first then bridging over to an rn program at a local community college! I just got my acceptance letter yesterday!
