How's everyone doing this semester??

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Im getting kinda burnt out- sorta like the light at the end of the tunnel is getting fuzzy............Im starting not to care and it all seems sooo hard! Especially since I have 2 kids under 5, Im doubly tired (is that a word?)

Anyway the thought of commuting so far, nursing school, and toting kids everywhere is starting to sound awful.

Im new to having school age kids and all there activities and schedule. and its going to be exhausting. How do you guys do it? I think EVERYONE has more energy than me. But that university diploma keeps me going.... I can almost reach it.............

Pat on the back to everyone

Good luck to you FNPhopeful. Just remember that you can't be super mom all the time. School is going to take a lot of your spare time. Your kids might miss out on a few things but in the long run they will be better off having a mom who has an awesome career. Stay focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. ( I know, it's a very long tunnel) LOL:twocents: :twocents: Just my two cents!!!!

I feel the same way. I just got accept to my first choice nursing school last week classes start July 06. But for now Microbiology is draining me dry. I work, have 3 kids, loving hubby, and help my parents (Mom lives at home Dad is in a nursing home). I was doing fine in the beginning of the semester but now for some reason I am failing tests. I have a mid-term tomorrow (pray for me). I am just trying to handle in there for another month.

Hang in there. I am taking pre-reqs and have 2 children in school and work full time, I know how hard it can be. I do not cook and rarely can be seen cleaning until the weekends. Thank God my kids love kids cuisines and marie calender frozen dinners. My husband is working full time and going to school full time, but we know anything worth while comes with some sacrifice. Do the best you can and the best of luck to you.

This is my first semester of College. I am currently taking Psychology, Sociology, Eng Comp 1. I am getting an A in Psych and soci, which i am so surprised because i have been out of school for along time i never took anything even related to psychology or sociology and i am excelling. English i am getting B which i am happy for that because i am not a creative writer. I can spell and read great but writing essays i hate that so much but i try my best and hopefully by the end of the semester i am gonna get an A. I know that many people probably have A's in these classes but for me its personal accomplishment because i never thought of myself as smart i knew i wasn't dumb but i never thought i would be doing so well.

Specializes in LDRP.

I have Micro on top of homeschooling my kids, working as a free lance editor, and getting ready to move across country to finish my nursing degree...that explained, I am stressed out!

I have a 91% in lecture and a 111% in lab. I am hoping to pull an A but this is the yuckiest class I have taken. The work has been unbelievable--more so than a nursing class IMHO!

Anyway, 4.5 weeks to go! YIPPEE!

I am so with you on how you feel! It is like I am literally dragging and I am completely losing my steam. I can't wait for the semester to be over- I think I will sleep for a week straight or at least lay out at the beach! I am only taking ONE class (online) this summer as it is an easy Early Childhood Ed class- I work doing daycare part time and need to get some credits under my belt there. Other than that I need to get my head out of my butt and out of this mood I am in and how I am feeling towards school. It seems such an effor these days to pick up a book and that is so not like me, but has me worrying it is like me!
