I need some advice: I took the Hesi in Aug for TCC and my score was not that high because of my reading. Took t a week ago

and it still didn't improve. I would really appreciate a good advice on how to study, reading has always been my weakest and

I need to come up with a better plan. Thanks!

My comments are based on the assumption that you don't have physical or cognitive issues that affect your reading ability such as dyslexia, ADHD, etc.

Improving your reading comprehension will take time and effort. Check with your local resources for adult learning. I realize that you are more advanced, but there are usually (free) resources for people seeking their GED that include reading skills. You can probably tap into these. If not, the people associated with that program will be able to refer you to someone who can help.

In the meantime, start READING.... anything that interests you. Get an eReader, download some books and go for it. eReaders such as Kindle are great, because they have features such as a built-in dictionary for words you don't understand. Kindle also has a background feature that automatically tracks your reading speed, so you can monitor your progress. Don't give up.
