Honestly, what do you think?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

This is my last semester of pre-reqs and the last class I need for the ADN program is Microbiology. But I also signed up for Pathophysiology too because I feel like patho will benefit me a little more with my career. Do you guys feel the same way that I feel or do you feel like I am wasting time and money. Thanks!

Good day:

I think that if you can handle the course load / study time, then it will be of benefit.

Personally, I also plan to take extra courses as I'm able to fill in the blank areas that I think might need filling in.

Thank you.

I think it's totally worth it! Both are required pre-reqs for my program.

I think Pathophysiology would be helpful. It was highly recommended to take Pharmacology. I'll be starting my nursing classes in two weeks and that's what the upper level students are telling me.

In my BSN program that I applied to and all the other nursing programs around here, patho & pharm are both part of the nursing program as nursing classes, so I'd recommend them both!!

It's required for the BSN program I will be applying to. Take it.

If you really can take the load, I'd say to give it a try. I think you'll find patho and micro will somewhat nicely dovetail in the end. Effectively you'll be learning about the organisms that cause disease and the diseases themselves. That should stick pretty well in your head later on.

Great idea ya got there goin. IMHO they compliment each other so it would be hefty but rewarding course-load. I did them together too and it was awesome :) All the best

Thanks to you guys I feel good that I'm taking both classes. I wish nothing but the BEST for everyone. Thank You :)

Take both at the same time, they will overlap at some point
