Has anybody else officially applied for the program?

I finally did it. Today I handed in my application for Fall '07 Full-Time ADN program at my CC. I have until June 01 to complete all the requirements but the fact of the matter is my name is already sitting there. What a great feeling...I remember when even having enough pre-req's to apply seemed like lightyears away and I never thought I would see the day that I would actually be completely eligible to put in an application. I am so excited. I really hope that I can get in but keep hearing rumors about how not very many people get in on their first try. I don't have any other options as far as schools go but I know that for Fall they have way more applicants than they do for Spring and the entrance points/criteria are higher for Fall. So if I don't get in for Fall at least I definately will get in for Spring and that's not so bad of a wait. Well, just the NLN and I have officially completed the requirements. I have also taken up a CNA course this sem to get certification points so that should be fun.

Anybody else put in their application for Fall?

I did. Had my app in since October (wasn't due until April) and all transcripts in. Just mailed out a second recommendation on Tuesday and this coming Monday my boss promised to have my last recommendation letter ready and then thats it. Just the NLN left for me as well.

Good luck to you, I'm sure it will all work out for the Fall semester.

Yep, my app is complete except for one pre req class I'm currently in. I have until May 15th (after the end of semester) for that grade to be on my transcript. After that is the the wait for the letter. Or maybe I should say "The Letter" since so many people have already put a year of their life preparing for it.

I'm also taking Eng Comp and Sociology, both are part of the nursing track itself. I can understand Eng Comp as a necessary skill I'm just not understanding the Sociology class.

Hey, you're taking the NLN around the same time as me right Feb 3rd (is mine) Are you stressin about it at all? I am. Only because I am starting to hear more and more this "you either know it or you don't" thing. I kinda don't know this stuff....so does that categorize me in the knowing it or can I study for it or what...GRRRR. I wish we could eliminate the whole NLN! I need to score above 130 for a good chance to get in for fall. YIKES.

Yup taking mine Fed 3rd. 14 days to go. 2 months ago i was all gunhoe with the studying, now its like pulling teeth to get me to look at the damn thing. I am definately freaking out, and Im dealing with it most terribly by sleeping during the time that i should be studying. Its terrible. I think the whole know it or not thing doesn't help me either. I have to make pretty much the same to get considered for the program I applied too, their official standard isnt so high but all the people who got apcepted where posting scores of the 120/130 nature. Its scary. ugh I cant wait till its all over.

I will apply after this quarter ends which is in March. I am also sooooo excited! I totally understand what you mean. It felt like it would take forever to get to this point....well it ended up taking me two years anyway. But I am just so happy to know that in a couple more months I ill offically apply for the fall '07 class!!!! I hope you all get accepted!!!

Each and every step in the process is sooo exciting. I have been waiting to start ns school for so long and now that I got into a program I have decided to try to enjoy the process more. I have been looking toward the finish line for so long that sometimes I forget to enjoy everything in between.
