Grossmont Nursing Spring 2015 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

I know the application period for Spring 2015 cohort ended on 7/31/2014. Does anyone know when rejection/acceptance letters are typically sent? I believe it is via email...

Hi HavasuSun,

I applied as well for Spring 2015. I went to an orientation in June about the application process, and they said it would be approximately a month before we would hear anything. They really couldn't commit to an exact time frame because they were not sure how many applicants they would have. You are correct, they will notify us by email.

Thanks for the info! I'm waiting also:whistling: ...

Well, good luck to both of you. Hopefully, we will all be getting acceptance letters soon!

Good luck to you also! Did you apply anywhere else?

No, I only applied at Grossmont. Some of the other schools require chemistry to apply and I'm just taking it this semester along with stats and and a communication class. Chemistry wasn't required for the ADN program at Grossmont, but it is required for the step-up program at SDSU for the BSN, so I thought I would get it out of the way now.

Best of luck to you both as well! I find myself incessantly checking my email; Goodness! I too have filled my Fall schedule with the ancillary BSN-related classes that will eventually be needed for a bridge/step-up somewhere someday. I must admit it gets a little discouraging reading all the blogs with prospective students with extremely high GPA's & TEAS scores. I try not to let it take the wind out of my sail. I'm hopeful :)

Ok, seems like you have everything planned out. Again, good luck to you. I'm just trying not to get my hopes up too high. I applied for the lvn to rn program, so it's pretty much a gamble with that.

Yes, I also took stats, communications, but I didn't take O Chem just 101. I was going to apply to national but before I could, they changed the addmission prerequisites and the application deadline was near.

Hi there--

I applied for that cohort too. When I dropped off my application, the lady said we'd hear something in September. I can't wait to find out, either. I've been stalking my email non-stop! I've also been checking out the class schedule for the cohort that just started. We're going to be busy if we get in. Some very long days looming.

Good luck to you also! I just hope enough lvn's apply or else I won't be getting in.

If they don't have the LVn to RN program, won't they just allow you to do the RN program? I heard the admin mention that LVN's could do that, but you would have to do 4 semesters instead of just the 3.
