So, it tests you to see if you understand the material you just went over that week? That doesn't seem to give you much time to study and absorb it. We don't do that type of testing, at least not yet. I know we will be doing some testing from a Kaplan book, but I don't know if it's similar or not.

My schedule is Mon 7:30 - 10:50, Tues 8 - 1:50 and Thurs 8 - 1:50. In four weeks I drop the THursday class and have 8 hr clinical on Wednesday instead. We have to go to hospital the night before clinicals to research our patient. We also have an on-line pharm class that requires reading and a weekly quiz on Fridays. We also have to pass a dosage calculation test with 100% this coming Monday. What is IP testing?

I haven't looked into yet, as I have been so busy with school with this semester, but BLS certification is listed on the orientation agenda, so I'm sure they are going to give us some details then. Hope that helps. :)

dajiawen, I brought my acceptance letter by the nursing office on Monday because I have a early morning class there and thought it was the best way to insure they got it. Yes, I think we are all in pretty much the same classes. Judging by the class schedule on Webadvisor for last semester, it looks like they might split us up into two different classes, but I'm not for sure. From what I've heard, everyone gets to know each other pretty well throughout the entire two year journey. :)

Congrats socalABSN2b! I know of one person who will not be accepting their seat, so that seat will definitely be up for grabs. At a meeting I went to before applying, they said people can actually be added really late because of people dropping at the last minute, too.

That is such a total bummer for you two! I wish you both the best of luck. Now, I will be "inbox obsessed" waiting to hear about the ADN admits.

Oh, Im sorry to hear that, Moncherie. Maybe, you can make it into the ADN program? I'm not sure how that works, though. Best of luck to you and thanks for the info!

I would definitely get the teas test package from ATI testing. It is made by the makers of the test and the on-line practice tests are just like the real test, so being familiar with the format is really helpful. The book has all the info you need to know, but the information is really broad! I was very overwhelmed by the amount of info. I would get started studying it as soon as possible. There is a great post on this forum by rainbowvahmet that goes over everything you need know on the exam. I studied everyday for two weeks about 2-3 hrs per day and scored a 83.4%. Not too bad, but if I had studied longer, I could have done better. Take the online tests and see where you need to concentrate your studying, and then go from there. There are also practice tests in the back of the book. Good Luck! :)
