For giggles 2.7 GPA

I kind of slacked off in the beginning of school. I didn't even know what I wanted to do for a while. So my GPA was 2.7. My school didn't have a GPA requirement but the strongly recommended that no one lower than a 3.0 should apply. I applied anyways, so worried that I wouldn't get in. What saved me was my TEAS score, I did pretty good (Always have been a good test taker). We needed two letters of recommendation and I made sure to get good ones. Also had to write an essay which may have helped me. I also have a bachelors degree (psychology) so that gave me an extra point. My school used the point system when reviewing applicants.

Whaat OMG did they ask you to input all your class's or JUST your Science classes?? Sorry to hear that, what a bummer:(

You have to post all of the classes you've taken at every college you've attended.

From what I see nursing school is very competitive and like my community college that requires a 3.0 it doesn't seem like that even gets you in. The 3.0 is a requirement to apply, but with all the competition your GPA needs to be much higher there is just to many students going into that field. The students that don't have a higher GPA wait on a long wait list for 2 years. At my school they calculate pre-reqs and co-req classes on together, and entrance test. If you GPA is low can you take some classes over sometimes that helps. My suggestion is to really put some study time in and get good grades because it is so competitive.
