Galen Nursing or any other places?

Hi there! I'm new to this website and I don't quite understand it completely yet so please bare with me lol I reside in Texas for now and I need some help choosing a good nursing school to attend and was wondering if maybe any of you know of a good accredited one here in Texas or maybe if you have attended one here yourself?

I was considering Galen but I've heard stories about how Galen is not accredited and even so, some places will not hire you because you are from Galen and that got me worried! I dont want to bust my hump to not get a job you know?

And I just seemed to fry my brain looking and searching for options I just cant find! So please help me! Is Galen just as good and equal as any other Nursing school? Or will I be wasting my time and money? help please!

Even if you are not from Texas, where did you get your Nursing done? State and school? Thank you!!!!

To find accredited programs in your state, Google ACEN or CCNE; this is the two organizations that accredit community colleges and universities; you can access their website and look at the programs you are interested in.

I went to an accredited nursing program at a local university in my metro area in PA.

Your school needs to be accredited for several reasons. I don't know if this is a for profit school or not, but stay away from those places. Your credits won't transfer and no one will hire you. So basically you shelled out a lot of money for nothing.
