Just curious as to if anyone has taken or is currently taking a foreign language and what it is as well as any study habits that worked well for you. I am taking Spanish 101 and I am currently developing my study habits. Thanks:)

Specializes in TCU, Post-surgical, Infection Prevention.

I took Spanish, and got a degree in it since I live in Southern cali ~ additionally, sometimes that is the only way your resume can get a second look.

I found it to be easy, due to teh fact that alot of words look like their English counterparts.

The only two words that could cause confusion (for me) would be pregnant (embarazada) and bother (molestar). lol

Other than that, cake cake cake!

Good luck to you.

I'm taking German. That was my major originally so I might just get a double major because I love it so much. At the beginning levels I did a lot of flash cards. And my school has a weekly meeting called "stammtisch" where we meet at a pizza place and only speak German. It makes it more fun than practicing alone talking to myself lol.

The weekly meeting is such a great idea. I will talk to the teacher about that and at the very least talk with my other classmates about starting it ourselves:)
