Fall 2012 A&P2 students where are you??!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello everyone, who has started A&P 2? I know we can all use support from each other. I for one have started class and my first day was yesterday. The syllabus doesn't look to bad. I just hope I will enjoy this more than A&P1. Organization is the key to our success and having a memory like an elephant wouldn't hurt either! Lol!!

Well I got an 85 on my first lab practical and an 84 on my first exam. So far a solid B. Hmph.

Pre-prenurseshan way to go!! You can still get the A keep plugging away.

Just checked my scores for the second exam- 95%! Woo hoo! It was on Blood and the Heart. There was a good mnemomic that helped me keep the coronary arteries straight: (Right)RPM and (Left)LAC...people drive with RPMs and are Law Abiding Citizens.

Next up- Blood Vessels, Lymphatic System and Immunity. Any advice out there on memorizing the very long list of veins and arteries? Any vids or strategies with blood vessels or lymphatic sytem? Any tips are super appreciated.

Thanks! And Good Luck! : )

Found some great A&P videos on Interactive Biology, by Leslie Samuel | Making Biology Fun!. Dr. Samuel explains things in such an easy way to understand them. I highly recommend watching a few if you feel stuck on a concept.

Cool vids :)

Is everyone here a pre nursing student? I'm still trying to finish pre Reqs before I can get into program. It's been hard! Mainly because I'm a single mom to two boys ...BUT so far I've excelled at getting As & Bs in all of my classes so I'm hoping to transfer to a university if I keep my gpa up.

Yep! This is my last semester of pre-reqs...yay! I'm applying in January and hope to be placed in either a Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 class. Fingers crossed!!! :D

Good luck to you! As long as you have all the university pre-reqs done and good grades, you should be able to get accepted. I know the university here takes nursing students twice a year. The CC where I'm going takes students twice a year, but only has one application period for both. So you have to apply a year in advance...ugh!

Awesome job to everyone!! Anyone here know anything about Chamberlain College??

I'm applying too this Fall or January. I have to take the Teas thus Saturday!! Deadline for app is 1/31!!!

I see a lot of pathophysiology talk. I'm planning to take it next semester. I hard it's a lot of material. I'm ready to get it out of my way. But for know I have to start applying for Nursing schools.

I'm thinking of apply for a BSM program. Anybody know any thing about it. Any thing can help.

Is that BSN?? Or BSM? If BSN where are you from? I know a little about places here in GA.
