I am currently in my first semester of Practical Nursing and am failing Anatomy class! I am worried they will let me go if I for sure fail this class. I am so discouraged, I worked so hard to get into this program but this anatomy is killing me! I am doing well on all the other classes. Any advice?
How do you currently study? I feel like this is something important to identify in order to help give you the best advice. For example, do you review your lecture material within 24 hours or do you wait until closer to your exam date? Are PowerPoints provided or do you have to take your own notes? Do you preview the material before coming to class? Do you use a study group? Are you struggling with lab, lecture, or both? Do you look over your old exams? Do you have a tutor? How often do you go to your professor's office hours? The list can go on!
Like Cat365 mentioned, Youtube videos may help you since you are a visual learner. I believe you may be able to find actual lectures to watch. You can pause and replay them as many times as needed in order to help cut down on multitasking. I think it is important to use a combination of hearing, seeing, and writing. I even try to chew a gum at the same time to stimulate as many senses as possible.
Try to break down what you are doing now or not doing now that may be holding you back from being the best student you can be. If you do pass, make sure to relearn this material so you have a solid foundation to build on.
