Entry Level MSN Program in California

Hello, I'm currently completing my prerequisites for Sac State's BSN program. I am three semesters away from being able to apply. Where my questions come in is my career goals. I truly want to become a Women's Health NP and a Nurse Midwife and I'm trying to determine whether to go the BSN route and then get my MSN or whether to get my bachelor's in a different field and try to get into a Entry Level MSN program?

Does anyone who is currently in a ELMSN program have an advice for me on how it was applying and if you found it difficult to get accepted or what helped you when applying?? Thank you.
