Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello,

I am starting nursing school in spring 2016 at COM I am scared and excited, a lot of people say how hard it is. I am not the best student but Ive try my best and have been getting through school. I use to work with nurse and they said it was really difficult but its manageable as long as you plan and not stay behind.

Does any one out there have any advice for a future nursing student.

Thanks

I'm assuming you're referring to College of the Mainland. It's a great choice - solid NCLEX pass rate & very economical. My advice? Take it one day/week at a time. Pay attention to the rules & requirements - make sure you follow them because nursing programs are very unforgiving for things like absences & late assignments. Don't move too quickly to establish BFF relationships with your fellow students. Often, the most 'friendly' students are also the most needy... and they will suck you dry asking for more and more help as time goes on.

We've all survived the same process. Take a deep breath and hang on tight.... You'll be fine.
