Chances of getting into ABSN program?

Hi everyone!

So I'm a college senior, getting ready to graduate in May of 2016. I'm looking to apply to accelerated nursing programs now and have narrowed my list down to about 6 school The only thing I'm worried about is my resume. It sucks. I was pre-law (dont ask lol) for 2 of my college years and suddenly had an epiphany spring of my junior year that I wanted to go back to nursing, so a majority of my resume reflects that. I volunteered at my local hospital one summer after freshman year but thats really all the health care experience that I've got.

My gpa is decent, its a 3.52 now and I've gotten A's and A-'s in all of my pre-reqs with the exception of one, where I got a B+ in.

Would anyone that knows anything about what these kind of programs usually look for shed some light into what my chances are of getting in? Should I apply to a few more schools for this cycle or should I just take a year off, gain health related experience and apply again? Do schools really look into resumes? Thank you! :)

The ABSN program I graduated from only looked at your first degree GPA, pre req GPA, and TEAS score. Nothing else was factored in.

The most important is your GPA on your first degree. Most schools require a minimum of 3.0 on first degree. Pre reqs do not count into this. Pre reqs are looked at seperately.
