I was planning on taking my pre reqs slow and steady and applying in October '14 for the Spring 2015 BSN program. BUT Spring '15 just seems so far away!!! I could cram and try to get in for Fall '14, but is it really that... Read More

So you would have a semester off before the beginning of nursing school? can you not apply spring 2014 while keeping your same schedule? can you not be in progress? I think I am missing something. And the two part summer idea will be tuff but if you think that with out a shadow of a doubt you are ready then go for it. And studying the bones and muscles would be good. Try and find out if your labs will be done on a cat if so find a catlass from prior semesters and study the crap out of. Blood vessels and arteries are just as hard as bones and muscles so don't leave those out in your early study sessions.

I have to have all my pre requisites done to apply. So I won't be able to apply until Oct 2014 since I won't finish my pre-reqs until Spring 2014 and will have just missed the deadline of February.

and I wouldn't take that semester off, I'd fill it up with some other elective courses so when I start the nursing program I only have nursing classes to focus on.

taking the fluffy pre-reqs first is a consideration. Maybe I could take them this summer. But I'd rather not take A&P2 and Micro concurrently. Man, I have a lot to think about :/

Personally, I'd do English I & II in the summer and take A&P when you have a full semester to devote to it. I took Physiology and Microbiology at the same time. It's definitely do-able (got an A in both). I wouldn't want to cram that much A&P into such a short amount of time. You'll need the Physiology to understand Pharmacology, trust me!

Micro over the summer might be a good choice. You can just concentrate on that and it's not that bad. You might need a good 6 months for at least one of the A&P's. It's a lot of info.

    hmm.. so maybe..

    Summer 2013: Eng 1&2

    Fall 2013: A&P1, Nutrition, Stats

    Spring 2014: A&P 2, Psych

    Summer 2014: Micro

I don't know why I'm so afraid to take both A&P 2 and Micro at the same time but I am!!

i took a&p I during spring and a&p II in summer session 1... if i had a choice i think i would've liked to take a&p II during the fall instead...the summer session for me was short and a bit rushed towards the end.
