AP1 and Chem 1 together...s

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

So I had this brilliant idea to take AP1 at 6 in the morning and a online math class. Well that elbowed into "Oh My" I can apply to a part time BSN program earlier then expected if I go this route. That route was math class this summer online that leads to me taking the Chemistry class in the fall. So I said well let's do THIS!

So I signed up for Chem 1 and AP1 all the while will be taking my TEAS test (EEEK!). The Chem 1 worked out with current schedule. AP 1 is 630 to 915 Mondays and Wednesdays. Chem 1 is 930 to 1215 Mondays and Wednesdays. This is the test see if I can jump into the fray of nursing school.

I work 24 hour's now hoping to go to 32 hour's. I originally told my work can't work Monday and Wednesday mornings be available evenings. Work is flexible going to see of I can not work MW and one weekend (rotating weekends). That would mean I'll be on TRF and a weekend. I think that give me time to focus on school. I can exercise for an hour clear my head after class. Then study for the remainder of the days Monday and Wednesday. Few hours of studying through out the week.

If all goes well I might even do micro and AP 2 in the Spring :D !!!

Any insight?

I am debating for the fall to take Lifespan online, but that might be pushing it. I have till February to enter into a program. I need 7 prerequisites completed and TEAS. Have 3 prerequisites done. Taking 1 in the summer and these 2 science classes. Think adding Lifespan be disastrous cab affect my GPA.

I wouldn't recommend taking the teas too early without having had the core sciences like micro, anatomy and physiology done. And don't take it for the first time without studying either or have a mentality of I'll see how it goes. Some programs possibly will only look at the first score so take it seriously.

general chem isn't so difficult or challenging like A&P but still it requires dedication. If you're taking them both together during a summer session that's going to be quite a workload ontop of your working.

I don't know about taking the Teas test before finishing anatomy and chemistry. I am taking them all before I take my Teas. Also it's a workload, but you can do it if you really put your mind to it. I will be taking anatomy and physiology back to back this summer 8am-12:45pm and I will also be working full time 12 hour shifts at the hospital 7pm-7am lol so after my 12 hour shifts i'm going straight to school for a few hours. Work load, but we can do it. It's really up to if you really want it and what kind of person you are. I think you can do it , but take it seriously !
