Anyone in Farmingdale's nursing program?

I just sent my application 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear back from the following colleges: Farmingdale, Stony Brook, Adelphi and Molly.

Of course Farmingdale is my primary option, and am very anxious to hear back from them.

Is the course difficult?

I heard that it is somewhat difficult to get in, is that true? How many people are usually accepted into this program? And also does anyone know how long do I have to wait for them to reply? (They received everything on Dec 7th)

And is it mandatory to take the TEAS exam?

I'm just new to all of this so it is greatly appreciated for anyone to answer my questions.

Oh and I have a ~94 overall average.

I've also taken AP Bio, and scored a 4 on the AP and had 97 average (weighted).

And am taking AP Psy, Ap Chem this year.

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Hi and welcome to AN, the largest peer to peer nursing community.

While I can't answer your specific question, I'm sure someone will be along soon to help you.

Oops I forgot to add that I am currently a senior in high school.

Specializes in Surgical.

I graduated from FSC in 2014 with Bsn. I got accepted from high school in 2010. I know my class was 27 students. The chairperson told us there were 620ish applicants that year. That time we took nln based entrance exam. Now they changed to teas which is associated with Ati. It is a mandatory test. If you pass all the other hurdles, you are eligible to take this test. It doesn't mean you are accepted. Its just gives you a chance to prove you are nursing material. Good luck
