  1. Orientation signups here: Orientation And for the uniforms, you don't order them until you go into clinical.
  2. Hi! I'm currently in the Farmingdale nursing program, since I had lots of help on this site, I'll try my best to help you guys! When I was still a senior in high school, I also had to decide from Stony Brook and Farmingdale. I would say that the pros to going to SB is that there are shorter program lengths and also it have a better name. The reason why I choose to go to Farmingdale was because once you get in, you are officially a true nursing student. The SB programs when I applied only had prenursing as its prerequisite. I heard around 200 plus students get accepted but after 2 years in prenursing, only a handful actually get into the offical nursing program. Farmingdale also starts it's clinical after a year, which I really like about it. I don't really know a lot about the spring program offered by Farmingdale, since I am in the Fall program. But for the large amounts of classes, if you don't want to do summer classes, you can always choose to take more than 18 credits a semester (just ask for permission to do so), though it sounds like a daring idea, it's very possible. That way you are sure to graduate in time. The classes in the beginning are really easy.
  3. Oh ok cool, thank you very much for replying~ I got into the program with 24 other students. (Scored a TEAS score of 87.3%)
  4. Oops I forgot to add that I am currently a senior in high school.
  5. Anyone in Farmingdale's nursing program? I just sent my application 2 weeks ago and am waiting to hear back from the following colleges: Farmingdale, Stony Brook, Adelphi and Molly. Of course Farmingdale is my primary option, and am very anxious to hear back from them. Is the course difficult? I heard that it is somewhat difficult to get in, is that true? How many people are usually accepted into this program? And also does anyone know how long do I have to wait for them to reply? (They received everything on Dec 7th) And is it mandatory to take the TEAS exam? I'm just new to all of this so it is greatly appreciated for anyone to answer my questions. Oh and I have a ~94 overall average. I've also taken AP Bio, and scored a 4 on the AP and had 97 average (weighted). And am taking AP Psy, Ap Chem this year.
