Any other moms

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I'm enrolled to begin taking my pre-reqs and start working towards my Pre-Nursing degree this spring in Oklahoma. I also have a 1 year old daughter. I was just curious, is there any other moms that have worked towards there Pre-Nursing and then there bachelors degree while being a mom. My husband and I plan on also having another child sooner than later and just would like some insight on if any other moms have went through this and if it is possible to do.

I am a senior BSN student with 5 kids ages 7-15. My husband, mom, and grandmother have been great with making sure the kids are covered while I study. There have been some bumps along the way but we worked through it. Just keep your eye on the prize and you will be graduating in no time.

My wife was a single mother with our daughter (my step-daughter, but yeah my daughter) while she completed her nursing school. On top of that she was a teen mother.

I am now in the process of switching careers. I am in the nursing program with 3 children (13, 5, 3) and I have to work full time. You can do it. You have to want it bad enough.

I am a mom of 2 boys, ages 2 and 5. I just started my nursing program and while it's tough, it's doable with good support from your family and friends

I started my pre reqs in Jan of 2011. At that time I had a 4 month old, 7yr old and 6 yr old. I made it through all my pre reqs and enjoyed my time at school.

I started my first semester of nursing school on 1/13 and so far, smooth sailing. I expect some hiccups, but I have plans in place. I have a tight schedule, but it is all fine! My kids are very curious about my school work. The older ones like to come and sit with me and do their work as I do mines. It is great bonding for us.
