Hello Michaelxy! My family and I were living in San Diego b4 but since both my wife and my family are in norcal we decided to move here to have extra help with the kids when needed. I bought a house near Napa, so I have the choice to either go to Napa Valley College or Solano for their nursing program..since the drive to both places aren't too bad.

I've never been to Solano, but I am going to apply for their nursing program and try to get on a wait list. I heard they had a great program. How many prereqs do you need to complete?

I heard the nursing program at solano was pretty good also. I heard it from many friends and prior students of the program. I am chaging careers from a systems engineer to go into nursing so I am starting all over. I start this summer...well, next month. I am going to both Solano and Napa for the classes. As for the fall semester I am taking either micro or anatomy. I am trying to get the pre-reqs done ASAP...but I have not been in school for almost 7 years. Hopefully, everything will turn out for the best.:)

Hi, I am taking classes at Solano. This summer I am going to apply in their program. They have four pre-reqs English, Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. You can apply anytime and do not need to attend information meeting. Napa valley college also required same pre-reqs. However, they have specific date for application. Also, they require students to attend nursing information meeting and give you the nursing application in that period only.

I'm taking classes at Solano and Napa this summer. I still have all ofmy pre-reqs to do, so I am taking courses at both schools to speed things up a bit. Have you taken either micro or anatomy at solano? I am debating which one I should take this fall semester since I am planning on taking classes at napa of english, speech, stats, and either micro or anatomy at solano.

Yes, I am done with both classes. At solano, anatomy does not have pre-req, however micro has chem 10 as a pre-req. Chem 10 has also pre-reqs chem 160 and algebra. But if you take chem at napa, you only have to take only one class. Also pre-reqs for anatomy and micro at napa is different. I don't know where you at in terms of math and chem. I did anatomy first and then micro. When I took the class I did not know I could've taken only one chem at napa and would work for solano. I ended up doing two chem classes at solano. If you decided to take either one class take with J. Nogue for anatomy and J. Dekloe for micro.

Thank you very much! I am taking the chem for the summer at Napa. I tried to take Nogue for anatomy but the class is already filled up for fall. I am taking K. Clark for the fall. As for my schedule: I am taking Stat, Eng, and Speech @ Napa and Anatomy at Solano. I wanted to take micro but I don't want to overload myself.

Sciences class fill up pretty fast. When I took anatomy, they took 32 students per class. Now 24 only. If you try first day of class you might get add code. Also, I heard that Nosce and Itaya are also great teacher.

I have registration priority, but wow...I took less than 3-4 hours when registration opened and most of the anatomy classes were already filled up. I was lucky to have an available spot for K. Clark. It works for my schedule so, I hope she's awesome. :) As of now...my fall semester courses are Stat, english, and speech (napa) and anatomy at Solano.

I have summer classes at solano and napa next month to tackle chem and some other GE classes. I hope all goes well. Thank you for advice and suggestions!

Hello all!! Congrats on all your accomplishments with getting classes done! Almost time to apply! I have a question though, if anyone wants to answer, please. I've been waiting for about a year and a half almost two years on the wait list for NVC; they notified me to take my TEAS test; I took it and I passed and sent my scores in! Then the the lady in charge of assessments told me Margarita will notify me for the next steps. Does anybody know what the next steps are? Or when she'll notify me? I'm just really curious and excited!
