Anatomy & Physiology I & II online

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello,

Anyone who has taken A & P I and II online with lab? How was it?

I am taking this online at TN e-campus.

I took A&P I online and thought it was the best decision. Took A&P II during a 5-week summer course and wouldn't really recommend that, but the first course online was wonderful. It all depends on how your professor sets up the course, too. I was able to prioritize my work and studying so it wasn't a hassle for me. If you think you can stay up to task with what needs to be done then go for it!

I took API as a 14-15 week course and APII as an 8 week summer session online.

My experience wasn't really that great. My professor was very lazy in that she simply assigned textbook reading, didn't provide PPT's (her PPT's were literally the book in PPT form, so about 200+ slides per chapter) and our homework was all from Pearson (which is great for review, but not a great way to learn A&P). There were no recorded lectures. In this sense, the class was "easy". Most people did quite well because the exam questions were extremely predictable. HOWEVER, I didn't learn a whole lot of A&P in her class. I round myself out by watching youtube videos of A&P at other universities and it's been quite helpful. I have her again for micro since she is the only one that teaches the online class and I am doing the same thing again.

With that being said, I have taken my other pre reqs online with great experience. My biology professor is involved in the class in that he writes his own power points, designs his own written homework's and frequently communicates with the class. Unfortunately the book is still the bulk of where I learn, but it is much better than my experience with the other professor. My developmental psych and nutrition classes were also online and the professor's were fine. I learned a lot.

I had never heard of online classes where lectures aren't recorded until I started my nursing pre reqs. I took a lot of my undergrad business classes online, but it was always with an actual recorded lecture which I didn't mind at all.

In all online classes you have to be sure to stay caught up on/ahead of your work, especially in a dense class like A&P. If your experience is anything like mine, just remember you have Khan Academy, youtube etc all at your fingertips. I highly suggest using those. Sometimes at work I listen to lectures I find on youtube.

Good luck!

Thanks y'all.

My class starts September 12 to December 12, three good months of A & P. Will make the best out of this class. My job is super flexible so I will have a lot of time to study. I appreciate the tips.

I took anatomy and physiology seperate courses online at Marion University in Indiana.. 7 weeks each and they were honestly the best online formatted classes in ever taken!

im in NC I wonder how to find out where I can take A & P 1 & 2

online A & P 1 & 2

I am taking mine from Tennessee College of Applied Technology via TN-ecampus and it will transfer to most Nursing Schools Nationwide. Its $333 for 80 hours. You can also check out New Mexico Junior College. They have A&P 1 & 2 Classes online but please confirm if the credits will transfer to the college you intend to apply. Good luck.

Third day of the online A & P class. So far so good. First exam is on Friday :)

Specializes in Infusion, MedSurg, Hospice.

I'm taking A&P 1 online this semester through the University of Memphis. I'm in week 4. I took the first class exam last week and the first lab exam yesterday. So far so good. I'm really enjoying the class and learning a ton.

I took my first A&P I exam today and passed. So far so good. A lot of memorization though....

Hey, tishalu. Can you give me an update on your progress? Some people said that the E Campus class is unbearable. I am pretty good with science classes as well as the online format. Do you have any tips or tricks pertaining to this class?
