What is anatomy class like?

Is It really gross?

I would like to know

what do you do in that class

(I want to prepare If I should have the puke bag ready or not:scrying: )

(It runs in the family..)

Thanks all!

Maybe I wont have to get the puke bag out after all. :chuckle

Anatomy 1 was fun in my opinion. I looked forward for the second part in the Spring Semester. One thing to keep in mind, you cannot wait until the last minute to study. It's a lot of reading, new terminology and the lab class. To me, Anatomy is like taking 3 regular classes. You have to set at least 16 hours aside every week to study. Go to tutoring as soon as possible. Do not wait until you sinking, by then, you will surely drown.

I always like science, I enjoyed every class and I hope you do as well.

Try hard and you will succeed. It is not an impossible class to get an A. I did it! so can you.

Our class felt like 3 regular classes, too. It should have been 8 credit hours instead of 4 because the workload was so much more than any other 4 credit hour science classes that I took....... studying for the lab portion required even more time than studying for the lecture part, particularly the skeleton and muscle lab portion were extremely time consuming. Glad it's over......glad I made it my only class!!!!!!

In my class we dissected cats, pigs, and rats. The animals themselves were not that bad, but the smell at times was HORRIBLE!! Despite that, anatomy was one of my favorite classes! I too was nervous the first day and thought I was going to be grossed out, but I was fine. On the first day we had to dissect a rat and nobody wanted to be the one to cut it open (we worked in groups of four). Finally I said I would do it so that I could overcome my fear and it worked!! So don't worry - you'll be fine!! Good luck!! :p

here's an a&p site i found this morning. i thought it was great. you'll want to check it out and bookmark it.

http://www.sirinet.net/~jgjohnso/index.html it is the home page of the biology teacher at frederick high school in frederick, oklahoma. this instructor teaches a high school class of a&p. although you want to link into the biology ii homepage, i notice that there is information in the biology i homepage that also pertains to some a&p subject areas. there are plenty of notes, quizzes and practice exercises scattered throughout this extensive site, but i could not find any answers. presented in a little easier than college level, i thought this was an awesome introduction to a&p!
