I just got my acceptance letter from UAMS! :yeah:I'm so excited yet very nervous and scared! Who is with me?

Congratulations. I hope to hear something by next month.

Thank you! Where did you apply?

Congrats! That must feel great!

I'm playing the wait game for another month....

Congratulations!!

Congratulations! I wish the best for everyone trying to get into nursing school!:yeah:

Bmblandford, I applied to Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU). I can not wait to get my letter. I'm praying I get in.

Congratulations!

Our letters here won't go out until around spring break, so I've still got another month to wait....

I was wondering if you could give me any feedback on their BSN program? I know this post is old and I am hoping you are still a member of this site and can give me some answers about UAMS

@RN.bound I recently graduated from the bsn program and I will tell you it is very challenging but very doable to work and go to school because many will try to say its impossible. I can definitely say that this program is changing for the better but is a rather slow process and be glad they changed the grading scale to normal however anything below a 75 is failing. And if you fail you will have to wait a year to retake if they allow you. Also, the staff is getting better about listening to student concerns, however the one thing I felt this program lacked was ORGANIZATION! You never know your class schedule until about the night before you start, so having to plan for work can be challenging and you have to be extremely flexible with your schedule as it will be constantly changing. There's so much more I could say but if u have any questions feel free to ask

I am SO glad to hear from someone who has gone through the program recently. I have many questions: How hard is it to actually get into the program? What was the process like? Is it based off your GPA? I'm trying to get some information so I can make a decision between two different programs, UAMS will give me my BSN in 2 years and the other program will just give me a second Associates (with my RN) in the same amount of time but my concern lies with the difficulty of the UAMS program. I have heard some scary things about a lot of people failing out ect.. Where do you actually go for class? I live in Cabot and wanted to know about how much time I would need to set out of each of my days for commuting to work because I have small children and they will need to go to daycare. Would I need to have daycare available 5 days a week? Would you say the program is that rigorous? I'm sorry I have so many questions, I just have ALOT riding on this decision. Was it easy to find employment right away when you completed the program?
