Accelerated ADN program?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I have been browsing through all the topics and I see a lot of students doing the traditional way, going to school for 4 years to get a BSN and take the boards to be an RN! That's amazing, and Kudos! However, is there anyone who plans on doing an accelerate ADN? 1 yr core nursing program to get their Associates and then take the NCLEX? If so, when do you start? I'm so excited for June to get here!

What school are you going through because I'm at a community college and have been in school for about a year and a half and I still have another year/year and a half to go

I'm going to Southeastern College in Miami Lakes

You have to really investigate accreditation's since some accrediting bodies are established by the same school.

More common to be done by a for profit school, but not all for profit schools. There's where the research comes in to play.

I'm not speaking about any school listed in this thread since I did not look any of them up. Just about general awareness of the issue.

Oh ok that's cool. I wish I would have looked into a fast track school like that but I was kinda scared because I might be transferring to a university in the future so I just decided on a CC anyway best of luck and as long as you've done your research you should be good!

Which school is that

Community College of Philadelphia (pa) and Howard Community College (md) offers a 14 month ADN (rn) program for people who have completed a bachelors degree with the prereqs required for nursing (bio, psych, etc) I havent researched any other states because both of these schools are within 2 hours of me. They really aren’t more than you would pay for an LPN program in most states. I have found that college tuition in most states are inexpensive compared to my home state of PA. Research everything! https://www.nursingexplorer.com/adn/Virginia this site will help you by state for adn or BSN
