A&P I Spring 2013

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I did not see another thread, so I thought I would start one for fellow students to chat and get support. Anyone else taking A&P I this spring?

Our class average was 72, and course average (all A&P 1 students was 65)

I'm happy I aced the first test because I dont have to figure out or change my study habits. While a B might be good enough for some, I *really* want to see an A on my final grade. Our next test is next wednesday! So nervous! And our lab midterm is a week after that.

Hows every one doing with their bones and bone markings?

Bones are going well. Just started memorizing them today. Our lab practical and lecture exam is next Thursday so we shall see! And I couldn't agree w u more. Acing the first text pretty much solidifies that our studying habits are right on. Good luck everyone :)

The bones in the inferior of the skull are KILLING me!! Other than that, it's going well. I have another lecture test and my lab practical next week right after one another, yikes! (As well as history, statistics and human development midterms!)

Ironically the skull was easiest for me to learn, everything else is like ummmm, I'll take a rain check pls. Lmao!

Has anyone recently taken the HESI?

Is that the entrance exam? Not exactly sure what benefit anyone would have taking it before completing AP 1 &2.

I thought it was the Kaplan though...

There's several entrance exams. Hesi, Kaplan, net, nln, teas.. You would think they would just have one standard across the board!

Oops, sorry! I thought this forum was to one specific college.,Got confused with another thread. The entrance exam where I'm currently going to school is by invitation only. I need to figure out how I should start studying for it.

I have heard the NLN book is pretty good for prepping for the Kaplan.

Wow, I took A & P I last semester and at our school, A & P II is extremely difficult in comparison...

Hearing some of you talk about II being easier than one blows my mind...

I hope it's easier. Lol! I guess it depends on the student.

I have heard that 2 is easier but w my luck ill struggle w it

Well, I guess that our curriculum is different than four year schools. We have General and Advanced. Our A & P's are designed to be accepted at any 4 year state school in our state. So I know after it is all said and done, the same material is learned, but we must have a different arrangement in how the two classes curriculum are organized.

Oh, and I am guessing it is not the student, as I recevied the best grade in the class in the first semester. 98%...
