Hello! I'm applying to LSU crna program to start in 2015. Wanted to start a thread to get feedback from others who are also applying on their interview experience. Also I would like feedback from those who have interviewed there before and provide any information that would be helpful about the program. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I got an interview shortly after I applied but a friend of mine didn't hear back for several weeks. Some people are accepted on the spot and others are notified later. Their interview process seemed a little sporadic. I received a letter saying that I was wait listed and I called to see where I was on the list. They called me in April and school started in May. I had already gotten into other schools so I turned the offer down. I was 10th on the list (pretty bad huh? haha), so I'm sure the folks before me probably knew a lot sooner. They accept quite a few students so if you're wait listed, you have a pretty good shot.

That's makes feel somewhat better. Did your friend get in? Have I heard if they have 4 sets of interviews with 4 days only or 4 groups with a few dates for each set?

I didn't know they were still interviewing. I assume the interviews are holding up their decisions.

I interviewed on Wednesday. Great interview and set up! They have last year SRNA students in the area that answer your questions and try to relieve your stress before you go in and interview. Interviews really last only 15 minutes, so don't try to overstudy (it will just make you more nervous before interviewing). I interviewed with a few professors that are CRNAs. In all honesty, your experience is what they ask you about. We all have different backgrounds in critical care so just focus on your area. They did not try to ask me any neuro questions when they knew I worked in a cardiothoracic ICU. Most of all, it was really laid back. Of course you are going to be nervous, but I bet you that everyone else is too. After the interview, an SRNA student took me around campus and showed me their library, lecture halls, simulation labs, and etc. At the end of my interview, the professors informed me that they will be interviewing until next week and will inform everyone of their decisions a week or two after, so I'm assuming Monday will be the last interview date. Good luck to everyone who interviewed and to those that are left to interview. I'll post here when I hear a decision (praying for a phone call) from them, but hopefully we all will be future classmates in May!

interviewed early september. went great ! i felt really good about the interview and the faculty. . it's weird because i didnt expect to feel comfortable during an interview but i did! still waiting on a response.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received my call this morning of my acceptance to LSU's program!!!! I'm still ecstatic about it. I've worked really hard for this day to come and I still can't believe it! Hopefully everyone else on this forum hears the good news today as well! LSU is a great program and I have nothing but good things to say about it when interviewing. Class of 2018 represent!!!!!!!! Geaux Tigers!!!!

Congratulations!! I didn't get a call :( so I guess that means thanks but no thanks?? Did anyone else get a call?
