Published

I'm in nursing school waiting to be accepted, sorry for my repetition just wanted information specifically from one who's already done what I'm trying to Endure

. My first question is, what are some classes I can take just to boost me up, so later I will set to achieve my way to become a great CRNA

Second, any advice??

lol you're all right.

In my university, we (the BSN prelicensure track) take some classes together with the RN-to-BSN students (those who have an ADN/diploma and passed NCLEX) and the entry level MSN students (those with a BA/BS in another field, and no, we don't have an accelerated BSN option for them, but they can apply to the traditional BSN option). The RN-to-BSN folks finish earlier than we do (just need to finish their BS degree requirements), and the direct entry MSN folks finish later than we do (with their MSN classes still), but we all take the same required BSN level classes needed together such as public health and community nursing, which is why it's possible for all levels to be in the same class haha. In the end, the RN-to-BSN folks receive their BSN along with their RN, we prelicensure folks receive our BSN also but still need to take our NCLEX, and the direct entry MSN guys also get a BSN, still need to take their NCLEX as well and receive an MSN and concentration at the end.

Sorry for digressing from the OP but I hope this cleared up any confusion!

You can have a BSN and not be an RN. It's called finishing school and failing the NCLEX. Same goes for anesthesia, you can have a MSN or MSNA and not pass boards to get the CRNA title.

Good one! Didn't think about it that way. I would hope no one ever goes through that. But I'm sure it happens a lot :/

*** I work with a CNA who has a BSN but was unable to pass boards despite 5 attempts. There is also an MD at the local technical college who teaches A&P who never did a residency and does not have a license to practice medicine. Actually many interns and residents have told me that they graduated from medical school with people who did not go on to become physicians for one reason or another.

No I get that I just had not heard it worded that way I had heard tradition program or something like that.

BUT...back to topic.....the OP wants to be a CRNA.....
