FUTURE CRNA

I'm in nursing school waiting to be accepted, sorry for my repetition just wanted information specifically from one who's already done what I'm trying to Endure

. My first question is, what are some classes I can take just to boost me up, so later I will set to achieve my way to become a great CRNA

Second, any advice??

I see where the confusion is now, thanks :)

Take Organic & Biochem, Statistics, maybe throw in some Physics and make sure you have a second semester of A&P (some schools combine it in 1 semester but most grad schools want two full semesters regardless).

Start looking into a bridge program now to get your BSN. And after getting that, you'll likely need to take the GRE.

During your NS clinicals, take any opportunity possible to run elbows with the anesthesia team. If they are receptive to you, you can see & learn a lot!

Good luck, it's a long road.... If you're just starting prereq's for a ASN program, you're probably looking at 9-10 years before you're finished, including a year or two or ICU experience prior to grad school.

There are different roads to get to where you are going. After you graduate from nursing school, get into an ICU right away and start getting that critical care experience. You can complete a RN-BSN program while you work. Then save up as much money as possible and pay off any debts you have.

You're welcome...I'm hoping to be graduating from a CRNA program in 5 years or so, if all goes according to plan anyway. By that time I'll be 37 :) We'll see though, I think it's important to have goals, but life happens and things change.

Hey future I understand you! I am about to enter a program at 37!

GOOD LUCK!!!! I want to hear all about it on AN :)

I got to observe a CRNA Wednesday giving an epidural and I made the comment that I was going to get as close as I could without being in the way because that's what I want to do on the future. He was awesome enough to walk me though it all, took extra time to talk to me and answer my questions. It was an awesome experience :)

that's awesome future! yes, I will try to be pretty upfront about school. I am going to blog about it as well.
